My Favorite DIY Pins on Pinterest, Plus a Somewhat Belated Announcement

For the past few weeks, life has been pretty busy for me (see my belated announcement in the second half of this post--thought I'd build some suspense), and so my poor blog has been horribly neglected.  So now, I will dust off the cobwebs and sweep the dust bunnies out the door in order to give you my favorite DIY pins on Pinterest.  Just click on the picture to be taken to the pin.

Incidentally, if you are on Pinterest and would like to follow my pins, I would be honored, and feel somewhat obliged to follow you back.

My Belated Announcement

I had some babies!  Our fraternal twins were born on January 9, 2013.  Palmer Joseph was first to be born at 7:00 a.m. on the nose--he's a very punctual boy.  His little sister, Lily Anne, was born at 7:38 a.m.  She was a little more hesitant to come out.

This pregnancy and delivery was a new experience for me for a couple different reasons.  Firstly, I've never had twins before.  Carrying twins is a whole different ballgame--at least it was for me.  Those little peanuts sure do get heavy!

Secondly, I labored and delivered these two with no pain meds or epidural (I had an epidural with my first two sons).  Why I picked my pregnancy with twins to go au natural is beyond me.  It was just a feeling that I had; maybe desire is a better word.  I wanted to know what it really feels like.  Know how it feels?  It hurts.  A lot.  But I survived it, and if I had it to do over again, I wouldn't change a thing.

My two older sons are proud big brothers, and they have made Mom and Dad very proud as well with all the help they've been!

Daddy loves his new babies.

These babies have been photographed so many times, they probably think we're the paparazzi.
