Someone emailed this week to ask if Chivers jelly still has a connection with Nestlé. These were branded as Rowntree after Nesté sold off a range of products a while ago, meaning Nestlé continued to profit from the licence for use of the Rowntrees name and we listed them on that basis.
The new owners have now rebranded as Hartley's jelly, to escape the licence fee and the boycott, I presume.
Other companies have kept us informed when they have broken the link with Nestlé so we remove them from the list of products from which Nestlé profits, such as Tartex and Libby's juices in Europe.
